Classes
The classes follow the La Jolie Ronde programme, which is the result of over 40 years research
and development in providing the best way for young children to learn a second language. Recognised by the French Government,
La Jolie Ronde has a well tried and tested structured programme.

Meet Julie
Being a French native and a mother of two, I have spoken French to my children since birth. They are now happily speaking
and singing in both French and English and I am amazed to see how easily they can grasp both languages at the same time.
I have been a La Jolie Ronde licensee since 2012 and I love seeing the children having fun learning French and making progress
so easily! In 2015, I received the Regional Licensee of the Year award for Scotland and Northern England by La Jolie Ronde
in recognition for the high quality and professionalism of my classes. I am also a translator and a member of the Chartered Institute
of Linguists. I have revised and proofread the new edition of La Jolie Ronde's programmes and materials from 2014 to 2020.
I strongly believe that given the opportunity and the right environment, every child can learn and master a second language,
and I am delighted to be able to pass on my knowledge of the French language and culture to the children through my work.

Meet Sandrine
I am a French native and I was brought up on the outskirts of Paris. I have always been interested in foreign languages and my
introduction to English was when I was 5 years old in a similar programme as the one La Jolie Ronde provides nowadays. I moved to
Scotland in 2012 and I am a proud mother of a boy. From his birth, my son has been spoken to in English and in French and he now
understands and speaks both languages.
From my experience as a La Jolie Ronde tutor and as a mother of a child raised in a multilingual environment, I truly believe
that a child is never too young to learn a foreign language. Children have the astonishing ability to understand and embrace
different languages quickly and easily. Besides being a tutor for La Jolie Ronde, I run some private tuitions in French and Spanish
(check my Facebook page: Sandrine Tutor), helping students and adults to learn these beautiful and exciting languages. I am honoured
to be a part of the La Jolie Ronde adventure and to have the opportunity to share my knowledge about my native language with the children.
Classes take place on Saturdays term time.

You can download here your child's homelink card for the last French class if he/she missed the class.
The homework is aimed at reinforcing what was introduced or revised in class. It is not mandatory but
it is a good opportunity for the children to remind themselves of what we did previously before the next class.
It is also an opportunity for parents to follow what their children are doing and to provide any additional support
if needed. Each programme has a Parent Guide associated and you will find the link to the guides next to the homework links.
From the programme Salut Céline et Antoine and up, the homework consists of several short activities to do in the book.
Some activities might have been already completed or started in class and can be finished at home.
